Since
1949, Epsilon Iota Omega
Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. has been of service
to Dover and the surrounding communities. Nationally, Alpha
Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. has been in existence since 1908,
with incorporation as a perpetual body in 1913.
Alpha
Kappa Alpha Sorority cultivates and encourages high scholastic
and ethical standards, promotes unity and friendship among
college women, studies and alleviates problems concerning
girls and women in order to improve their social stature,
maintains a progressive interest in college life and is of
service to all mankind. This mission is carried out through
a nucleus of nearly 170,000 college women affiliated with
undergraduate and alumni chapters located in leading colleges,
universities, and cities throughout the United States, Africa,
Asia, Europe and the Caribbean.
Epsilon
Iota Omega Chapter carries out the mission of service to mankind
through a series of programs and activities within the chapter
to include the annual Debutante Program culminating with a
Cotillion, a Sub-Debutante Institute, an annual Mother's Day
Luncheon, Spring and Fall Flings, to name a few. To find

Membership
in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority is by invitation only. If you
are interested in membership, and you are an alumna, "get
to know us, so that we can get to know you" by attending
our programs that are open to the public.
